Elizabeth Dickhut has just begun her fifteenth year of teaching English at Medina High school. She explains that, while teaching literature comes with many rewards, writing nourishes her, comforts her, and allows her to explore the many different truths about her own life.
Several years ago, she attended a poetry writing workshop at the Iowa Summer Writing Festival, an experience she described as one of the most amazing experiences of her life, one that reminded her why writing was so very important to her.
Her poetry has been published in "The Buffalo News," "Artvoice," "Boston Literary Magazine," and "Journal of Medical Humanities."
