Patricia Chutko

Patricia Chutko is a writer from Medina, New York. After studying elementary education at the State University at Brockport, Pat found her calling: she took a creative writing class, and that was it. She's been writing poetry ever since, now totaling 45 years of writing. She feels that two particular experiences have shaped the person and the writer she is: her travels to South Korea, and her work in the Medina Central School District. Since working in the schools, she feels she is truly changed her for the better: from being around so many children of varied backgrounds, she's learned that everyone we come into contact with has as a story to tell, and it is worth our time to try and walk in their shoes to understand their perspective.
