Remember When

Remember when
is the phrase we'll use:
a term for the old,
the young, and new
who look back
on these times
and share with you.

We remember the days
when the sky was blue.
Running through the woods,
an endless row of trees,
with no worry of home;
just knowing that we
will stop running
someday.

If you can remember
this type of news,
you won't grow old.
Your brain is new.

But if you forget,
don't feel too bad;
Remember when...stories
can help us recall
the freedom we had.
